Botox is an FDA-approved injectable that relaxes the small muscles behind forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet, so the skin over them smooths while your expressions stay. At Radiance Wellness & Aesthetics in Pleasanton, Zayda Yeoh, NP, a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner trained in injectables through Aesthetic Medical Educators Training and IAPAM, plans and injects every treatment herself. An appointment takes about 10 to 15 minutes, results show within a few days and last about three to four months. Botox or Jeuveau: which one suits you is decided at a consultation, before anything is opened.
Treatments
Botox and Jeuveau do the same job. Each is a botulinum toxin type A injection that relaxes the muscle pulling a line into your skin for a few months. The differences are in the details, and Zayda walks you through them at the consultation rather than sending you to research them alone.

View treatmentThe three areas treated most are the forehead, the frown lines between the brows and crow's feet at the corners of the eyes. Botox also softens bunny lines across the nose, prominent vertical neck bands, and a wide jaw, where relaxing the masseter muscle slims the lower face.
The appointment
Zayda watches how your face moves, rather than only where the lines sit, and tells you which areas and which product she recommends, and why. Consultations are $40. The deposit is non-refundable and is credited toward your treatment.
A fine needle places small amounts into the chosen muscles. Most patients feel a small pinch. The whole visit takes about 10 to 15 minutes, so it fits into a lunch break.
Do not rub or massage the treated area for 24 hours, and skip strenuous exercise for the rest of the day. You can go back to your day straight away.
Softening starts within a few days and settles over the next two weeks. Results last about three to four months, and regular treatment keeps new lines from forming.
Candidacy
You are likely a good candidate if you:
Botox treats movement. If the change you want is lost volume in the cheeks or lips, that is a filler conversation, and Zayda will say so at the consultation.
Cost
The cost of Botox comes down to the number of units your areas need. That depends on how many areas you treat, how strongly the muscles in those areas pull, and which product suits you. A forehead-only visit and a visit covering the forehead, frown lines and crow's feet are different unit counts. Zayda gives you the unit count and the cost at the consultation, before anything is booked.
Radiance members pay a set per-unit member rate and a discount on other aesthetic treatments, which is the most economical way to keep up with maintenance visits. Payment plans are available.

The cost of Botox at Radiance Wellness & Aesthetics depends on how many units your treatment needs, which depends on the areas treated and how strongly those muscles move. Zayda gives you the unit count and the total at a consultation. Members pay a set per-unit rate through the membership, and Botox treatments earn points in the Alle Rewards programme.
