Facials & skin

HydraFacial in Pleasanton, CA, for skin that looks hydrated the same day

HydraFacial is a three-step facial that cleanses and lightly peels the skin, clears pores with gentle suction, then pushes hydrating serums, antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid back in. At Radiance Wellness & Aesthetics in Pleasanton, facials are led by Darinka Morfin, LE, a licensed esthetician with 7 years of hands-on skincare experience, and every HydraFacial is matched to your skin at a skin consultation. A session takes 30 to 45 minutes, there is no downtime, and the difference shows before you reach the car.

Treatments

Four ways to treat the surface of your skin

HydraFacial and the other facials at Radiance Wellness & Aesthetics sit together in the Facials and skin category. All four work on the surface layers, and all four are performed in the Pleasanton studio.

Not sure which you need? That is what the consultation is for. Darinka looks at your skin before recommending any of them.

What happens during a HydraFacial

A HydraFacial has three steps, and the whole thing takes 30 to 45 minutes.

  1. Cleanse and peel. A gentle exfoliation lifts dead skin and resurfaces, so the rest of the treatment reaches skin that can absorb it.
  2. Extract and hydrate. Painless suction pulls debris out of the pores while hydrating serums go in. This is the step people remember, because you can see what came out.
  3. Fuse and protect. Antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid are applied last, so you leave plumped and protected.

The suction is the part first-timers worry about. It feels like a small vacuum moving across the face, and nobody needs numbing.

Signature, Deluxe or Platinum

Radiance Wellness & Aesthetics offers three levels of HydraFacial. Each builds on the one before it.

  • Signature HydraFacial. The essentials: deep cleanse and gentle peel, painless extractions, then hydration. A nourishing booster can be added for brightness or fine lines.
  • Deluxe HydraFacial. The Signature steps plus a targeted booster serum chosen for your concern, and LED light therapy to calm inflammation and soften fine lines.
  • Platinum HydraFacial. Everything in the Deluxe, opened with lymphatic drainage to move fluid and define the contours of the face before the cleanse begins.

Which one you book is a conversation about what your skin is doing right now, not a menu you have to decode alone. Darinka recommends a level at the consultation.

What a HydraFacial treats

HydraFacial is gentle enough for sensitive skin and works on every skin type. The concerns it is booked for most:

  • fine lines and wrinkles
  • uneven tone and rough texture
  • oily, congested skin and clogged pores
  • dark spots and sun damage
  • enlarged pores

If the concern is deeper, such as acne scarring, laxity or stubborn pigment, the treatment you want probably lives on the microneedling and laser hub instead, and Darinka will say so.

Results and aftercare

Skin looks brighter, smoother and more hydrated straight after the session, and the benefit builds with repeat visits. For the first 24 hours, skip exfoliating products and keep out of prolonged sun.

You can put makeup on immediately. Waiting until the next morning lets the serums finish absorbing, which is what most regulars do.

Most patients who keep the glow book monthly. That is also where a membership earns its keep.

Cost

What affects the cost of a HydraFacial in Pleasanton

The cost depends on the level you choose, Signature, Deluxe or Platinum, and on any booster or add-on, such as dermaplaning or a peel. Darinka gives you the exact cost at the consultation, before anything is booked.

Members get a discount on aesthetic treatments, which matters most for a facial you plan to repeat every month. Payment plans are available.

Questions

HydraFacial questions, answered

Still unsure? The aesthetic consultation is $40, credited toward your treatment, and Darinka will answer anything this page does not.

How much does a HydraFacial cost in Pleasanton?

The cost of a HydraFacial at Radiance Wellness & Aesthetics depends on the level, Signature, Deluxe or Platinum, and on any booster or add-on you choose. Darinka gives you the exact cost at a skin consultation. Members get a discount on aesthetic treatments.

How long does a HydraFacial take?

A HydraFacial takes 30 to 45 minutes from cleanse to the final protective serums. There is no downtime, so it fits before work or during a lunch break.

Does a HydraFacial hurt?

No. The extraction step uses gentle suction rather than manual squeezing, and no numbing is needed. Most people describe the whole session as relaxing.

Is a HydraFacial good for sensitive skin?

Yes. HydraFacial is gentle enough for sensitive skin and suitable for all skin types, and the serums are chosen for what your skin will tolerate. Tell Darinka about any reactions you have had to products in the past.

How often should I get a HydraFacial?

Monthly. Results show right after one session, and the benefits build with repeated sessions, so many patients at Radiance Wellness & Aesthetics book one a month. A membership is the most economical way to do that.

Can I wear makeup after a HydraFacial?

You can apply makeup immediately after a HydraFacial. Waiting until the next day lets the treatment serums absorb fully, so you get more out of the session. Skip exfoliating products and prolonged sun for at least 24 hours.
